Have you ever thought about why we have these Class Reunions? It was so long ago, about one-half
century or 50 years or 600 months or 2,608.88 weeks or 18,262.16 days or 438,292 hours or
26,297,460 minutes or a boat load of seconds. Any one of these numbers is approximately how long
ago we left our safe haven called Memorial High School in Eau Claire Wisconsin.
We went out to seek our fame and fortune. In all those years, we have misplaced or forever lost
friends we thought would always be there for us. We changed what we thought was the most
important parts and directions of our lives, to what we really became and along the way we still
thought back to those years at Memorial High School and our friends and classmates.
We have held nine reunions and at each one we reacquaint and rejoice in seeing the old friends that
helped make up our lives. The enjoyment of seeing, talking with and sharing experiences with our
class mates is what reunions are for! Each reunion brings out the changes in each of us. Reunions
are a way to remember, reconnect and reminisce at some great times that were had in the great halls
of Memorial High and our other haunts! As time passed, we were so busy with our lives, we maybe
couldn’t make it to a reunion or felt you couldn’t fit it in, that’s life!
You will never get back the time that was, but now this is the time to add the dates of August 5th and
6th, 2022 to you ‘NEED TO DO’ calendar, waste no time, as this is a priority! You still have the
opportunity to kick back with old friends and acquaintances and have a great time. Play a round of
golf, I’m going to, but suck at the game! Spend Friday at the informal gathering at Holiday Inn and
Saturday at a get together during and after golf at Princeton Valley Golf Course.
It’s time to share some of the memories you can now tell, as the Statute of Limitations has expired!
Take the time to drive by the house you grew up in and see how our small town has grown and
changed! So, in closing, we are getting old and let’s get together before we have lost the chance! I
still have some kick-it left in me and want to spend it with all the people I knew in school and a bunch
I am looking forward to meeting!
Thanks to Brenda Lee Roach for all the time she has put in this Facebook page.
Remember to put August 5th and 6th on your calendar “NOW”
